Q. Are our prayers more food for the aeons, thereby creating greater oppression for this world, or are we praying to the Christ-Hierarchy?
A. This depends upon the purity of motive behind the prayer.
The prayer that reaches the Christ-Hierarchy is ever the selfless one, e.g., 'Lord, not my will but Thy Will be done, for the greatest good of all' or 'Lord, use me as an instrument in Thy divine service as You see fit'.
If a prayer is made with selfless devotion it will reach the divine astral plane. If a prayer is made in selfish appeal it will only go as far as the lower psychic sphere and so evoke a response from there. There are legions of ignorant incorporeals in the astral world who are ready to 'guide' ignorant human beings round and round the mount of Life - forever.
Remember always that active spiritual Service is God's favourite prayer and one to which He responds most readily and positively.
Q. I have been praying now for many years, but with few results if any. Can you define for me prayer?
A. True prayer is an invocation
via ones own soul to Divinity, not for self but for a greater spiritual
good.
Q. A friend of mine has been struggling with her fears and anger for many years now and is becoming a nervous wreck. I want to give her hope. How best to pray for her?
A. Praying for others without their request or permission is to interfere with their personal process and has karmic consequences. 'Hope' is a desire that has nothing to do with Love and Wisdom. Remember, words and thoughts have power, and when sent forth based on the personality's ideals and preferences but not on the guiding Spirit, serve only to strengthen the prison bars of the illusion around and within us. We would do well to have no desires for others because as we desire for them, an astral stream of energy is sent out from our solar-plexus chakra and will connect with that of the other person on the astral plane. Since your friend has so much dark emotion inside her, doing this would certainly be infectious for you and bring you into a karmic binding with her as well as the unholy forces and entities of the astral world with which she herself is entangled. Since your friend is presently not reversing her darkened condition by the application of right understanding, she will be drawing from an inexhaustible supply of anger, hatred, fear, etc. that exists like a great reservoir in this world. Esoterically-speaking, your friend is presently a veritable black hole of negative energies and forces; an effective agency for masters of evil. Hence there can be no good in your attempting to alleviate her anger and fear because she will only replace it again and again. However, to hold her in your heart and feel compassion for her may be the best you can do. If you insist on praying for others it would be best to do so without attachment to results. The greatest and generally most effective prayer is: "Lord, what will You have me do?"
Q. I am reminded of how many times in this life that the unwitting hand of evil, through unknowing agents, has led me to the right place. If my gratitude alone would bring the desire for my friend to live the truth, she would be on the path even now.
A. But she is on a path; the Left-Hand Path; the path of learning by experiencing what is not Real and Good. It is not for us to interfere with another's free-will choices. If there were no black squares or chess-pieces on the game-board, how could we play the game of life?
You should understand that some Servers of very high evolutionary attainment have volunteered to become occultly possessed on Earth in order to take on that particular human dysfunction, play out the chess-game in accord with the Law of Karma, and later (hopefully and if they remember in time) to transmute that level of evil from the collective planetary and human consciousness.
Through the agency of pain, evil is often our greatest teacher. Lucifer is indeed and ultimately the 'light-bringer'.
Q. Do you also experience aggression from the invisible worlds? How to protect ourselves?
A. Always. But the clouds pass swiftly because I do not struggle with the opposing forces, but instead - and in understanding well the nature of this world and the Law of Cause and Effect - I ignore them. "Resist not evil." - Jesus.
It is
not wisest to think in terms of 'protection'. What part of your Self
(the One) do you feel that you need to protect or segregate yourself
from? Remember, Love is the greatest protector and benefactor
for all. Love requires no protection; it does not think in
this way. Only fear thinks in terms of protecting itself, hence, since
like attracts like, fear opens itself wide for psychic attack.
There was once an
abbot of a Tibetan Buddhist monastery who decided to clairvoyantly
observe two of his monks as they took part in a public chanting. He
watched as the first monk, realising that he was surrounded by the
dense and desirous thought-forms of the general public, created an
astral and etheric shell around himself which appeared like a very fine
crystal auric field and prevented anything of a lower vibration from
entering his personal consciousness.
The abbot then turned his penetrating gaze upon the second monk. He
noticed how this other monk, in his selfless devotion, had a pure white
vertical link with divine realms through his crown chakra as he was
simultaneously radiating a beautiful pink and blue light all around
himself, blessing others in the group yet without necessarily being
conscious of such a positive side effect of his devotions.
The abbot concluded that the second monk was actually far better
protected and much more advanced in his methods of chanting and worship
than the first.
The abbot would have concluded thus because personally-constructed protective fields are limited in that they are only effective in proportion to the personal development of the individual who creates them, and they last only as long as the personal will of the individual has the strength to maintain them. Whereas the second type of 'protection', being fed by inexhaustible divine energy, would have been infinitely more powerful and not prone to wane as long as the monk held fast to his selfless devotion which, as far as the sincere personality is concerned, is as relatively effortless as it is joyful.
Union is harmony and strength. But before we can qualify for group-communion with the Christ-Hierarchy and to thereby partake in all the advantages of such divine solidarity, we must prove our worth alone and in darkness. This is what Isaiah was speaking of when he wrote about "the treasures of darkness".
PROTECTION FROM THE OPPOSING FORCES
Q. I was reading the part on 'The Dark Forces' in DK's material as you advised me, and it is true that this is happening to me, although I would like to know more about what is meant by "discrimination which safeguards from deception".
A. Such discrimination will ensue from our intelligent and unselfish seeking of Truth.
The greatest safeguard against the brothers of shadow is purity of heart; for like attracts like.
In Servers of the Divine Plan we write:
Negative (or positive) thoughts and emotions (thought-forms) that are aimed at another person may only make a significant or long-term impression upon the intended recipient if in the aura of that individual there exists matter capable of responding sympathetically to the character of the directed energy. In the case where a thought-form is outside the range within which a persons aura is capable of resonating, the thought-form rebounds from it with a force proportional to the energy with which it was originally projected. Hence the truism that a pure mind and heart are the best protection against inimical assaults of thought and feeling, for a pure mind and heart will construct mental and emotional vehicles of fine and subtle materials, and such an aura will not respond to vibrations that require coarse and dense matter in order to express themselves.
If an evil thought-form (i.e., one projected with malefic intent) strikes a purified body, it will rebound and fly back along the magnetic line of least resistance, returning to and striking its creator. The originator, possessing mental and emotional matter in their aura that is sympathetic to that of the thought-form generated, is thrown into respondent vibrations, and suffers the destructive effects which they had intended to cause another. Thus, curses really do come home to roost, as the old saying goes.
The wise aspirant who has attained Knowledge, will not resist evil in the sense of fighting it or getting into any conflict with it. Remember always that LOVE is the greatest protector (and benefactor) in the whole universe.
Due to the nature of our Work, we often encounter the brothers of shadow on some or another level. Sometimes my whole body convulses after an attack, but I have observed experientially that surrender is the best defence, not resistance. If one blows on the forehead of a baby, the baby will throw out its arms in submission. This is true surrender. If we surrender thus to evil, we shall find that its attacks pass through us more quickly. Eventually, as our microcosm is transmuted by living the holy life, evil will not even see us anymore.
So there is no use in fighting evil with 'goodness'. The ultimate reason we incarnate in this world at all is to transcend it after balancing our karmic debts: to transfigure; not to make the world a better place so that the spiritual apathy, materialism and complacency of humankind can continue. It is this latter that is being practiced by the majority of 'spiritual' people in the world today. This constitutes neither discrimination nor wisdom.
PUBLIC APPEARANCE OF ADVANCED SERVERS
Q . Would your group like to have a place where it can speak to others, or do you still see yourself working quietly from home?
A. Well, bearing in mind how close we are to the planetary deadline, it is a little late in the day for philosophical education (except for fast-learners: usually advanced Servers in young, less conditioned bodies), so we are not attracted to try to speak to the masses about Truth. We do not relish giving lectures, but will never turn away from a sincere plea for assistance or an earnest query. We love to meet sincere seekers, for in purposeful, spiritual exchange there is always a transmission/reception of high-frequency energy as consciousness is uplifted and purified. This is how we bring Heaven to Earth, if only for a short time during the waiting period.
We may know 'who' and 'where' people are by the quality of their personal vibratory signature. Most people are not ready to receive the kind of spiritual wattage that wishes to come through the centre of our group, but there will come a time when there will be a great need and place for it in this world.
Meanwhile, we watch and wait for our major cue. In the waiting period there really is very little that we can do inside the Earth-prison frequency-net. However, soon (and in the twinkling of an eye for advanced Servers who have honored their programs) all will change. This long-awaited moment will reveal itself to be the prophesied Return of Christ, but this time Christ comes not as a lamb, but in POWER, i.e., with the Destroying Angel at his right hand! This is when the Real Work begins. Until then, as I see it, all we can do as personalities is continue to give the Call where appropriate.
Q. It appears to me that we need to get the word out, and right now I haven't found anyone else doing it at your vibrational level.
A. When we are able to see somewhat above the tapestry, it is quite something to observe just how many individuals and groups on Earth are so lost and tied up amidst the loose, dangling threads underneath the tapestry. The degree of delusion and fear in this world is approaching saturation point. When delusion meets Truth, sparks fly! We must remember always that on a dark planet such as this Earth, once a teaching, teacher or holy group becomes too easily accessible by the masses, if not persecuted and attacked, they will necessarily become compromised, tainted or distorted in some way. Let us not forget what happened to the Cathars, and the same pattern exists on Earth today amongst the masses as it did in Jesus' time. This means that the Inner Sanctum must remain secret and inaccessible to most, while the pure in heart working within the outer circles (and, therefore, within the radiatory influence of the great group) will sense and know that they are a part of something holy, but most will be mercifully unable to realize or comprehend that which is supernally hidden.The main difference between the work of the latest link in the chain of the Universal Fellowship and the more communal aspects of those Gnostics of the more recent past, is that today, due mostly to the pervasive evil in this world, we work mostly subjectively. This means that not for a while yet can we live and work together in an overt way, for the divine potencies available to true spiritual groups today would definitely attract the wrong kind of attention.
As an example of this pattern, just today I was sharing with a Server something - just a little - of the nature of the Capstone aspect of the One Work. As I spoke from my heart and brought in just a little bit of Home, my personality vehicles were, once again, attacked from the hidden side of life and, as usual, I felt very constricted, like certain entities were trying to choke my upper chakras. This happened just because I was speaking about what was about to happen on Earth.
So, you see, it is not yet Time to commence the Real Work on the physical plane, but this does not stop us from sounding the Call in a more...subtle and perhaps veiled way. Since most human beings have a very effective personality veil anyway, we could spell out in words the most sublime truths and still few would actually get it. In this way it may be seen how world-ignorance is also our protection.
PUNISHMENT vs. CAUSE AND EFFECT
Q. You have previously stated that our presence in this gross world is a consequence of infringing universal laws. This evokes the idea that we are 'punished' because of this infringement. Could you please explain in more detail what those universal laws are and if karmic punishment - also described as 'the Fall' - is a correct description for the penalty?
A. Punishment is a rather
childish way to regard the Law of Cause and Effect. The Universal Laws
are divine Laws of which there are numerous. Love and Evolutionary
Purpose are always prime motivating factors to the upholding of these
Laws. If a being with free will decides to break the Law of Love by
experimenting selfishly, he is allowed to (up to a certain point) but
he is warned (from within, beginning with the voice of his conscience)
that he will have to face the painful consequences of his experiment,
as all created disharmony returns to its creator.
Q. In 'Opposing Forces' from Servers of the Divine Plan there was a sentence about facing the past and purging: "Yet these memories must be recalled for resolution as part of the process of remembrance in order that understanding, acceptance and forgiveness may effect complete release and consequent healing." This is quite confusing to me. If most of my past difficulties were caused by Lucifer to impede my awakening, why give those any energy? If they were learning experiences, maybe the lessons were already learned. But, why dwell in the past?
A. Throughout the process of personal purification, all past unresolved memories, tensions, fears, judgements, etc. will automatically rise to the surface consciousness in order to be revealed by awareness and to be balanced. We need not take psychotherapy or focus upon finding these memories. With right, spiritual focus our 'inner therapist' reveals all. When we say "memories must be recalled for resolution", we are warning those individuals who would know healing of the personality not to suppress that which seeks release. However, this does not mean to focus upon or give energy to the past. We simply require to see them for what they are and then let them go.
