Q. I admit that this step up to the rarefied atmosphere of absolute Truth is so easy that we try to make it difficult. All around us are stating that the physical vehicle must be perfect in order to ascend. Beginning immediately, it is my intention to focus ONLY on the soul and let the physical follow.
A. Good. The Law of Correspondence will take care of the rest. When a personality becomes divinely-infused, all of the lower vehicles become sublimated, divine. "When thine eye is single, thy whole body will be full of light." - Jesus.
There are many distractions within the new age scene - MANY. The Rules of the Path have ever been the same; ever simple. It is just that today we have a great deal more of both help and hindrance than usual due to the Aquarian Grace and the evolutionary stage of the planet.
Q. Is spiritual service making people aware of what is wrong while pointing to some options for a better future to induce a will to change?
A. It is better to inspire people to good works by pointing toward the imminent Glory, rather than using the negative side of the coin which will serve mostly to induce doubt and fear for most. Yet the pride and delusion in the world are so great today that often there is need of the naked Truth.
Most people in the world are all too aware of the problems. Once we have understood the problem, it is wise not to focus upon it anymore, for such a focus will generally infect the consciousness, as energy follows thought.
When one is in fear for self and focuses on the negative with such a fearful charge, the forces of darkness are fed as these energies are invited into one's auric field, making things worse.
We are seeking to unite and work with others who, having adequately surveyed the world's problems and perhaps even come to understand the nature of evil, are ready to drop that life-force-draining focus in order to build something New and Good, and thus manifest the Solution to all world-problems.
Once a number of people are intelligently focused
upon the Solution, an invisible group-aura or radiatory-field is
constructed upon the inner side of life. This is the blueprint or
framework through which the evocation of Divinity may be realized on
Earth, and this is how the "New Heaven and New Earth" will manifest.
However, if any one negative thought or fear arises amongst any of the
people involved in such a work, then a 'chink' appears in the
light-latticework, a 'fissure' through which destructive energies may
infiltrate and contaminate the work, and it is thus that the whole
building process may be jeopardized. This is often the case due to
spiritual compromise born of personality sentimentality.
Q. I often
experience what I term soul-panic, a sense that I don't really belong
here.
A. If you don't
"belong" here, then the great law of Cause and Effect would not have
led you here. Most people in the world today seek to be included in the
'ascension plan' in order to escape. Such selfish motivations - since
they demonstrate a further requirement for lessons that can only be
learned in the lower worlds - will guarantee that they return on the
wheel.
The Reappearance of Christ is about opening up the Way that leads to the divine Kingdom. Would Jesus have successfully performed such a great divine duty if he had opted to give up and go Home when he was plagued by doubt in the garden of Gethsemane? To even think of escape from the eternal Present is to perpetuate our struggle in our self-made illusion. Accept and so love what is; be here now; open your eyes and you will see that the Kingdom of God is right here and now.
Jesus, the Christ, said: "Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." - Matthew 25:34. Therefore, the Kingdom is not to come; it already exists. In John 18:36, this is expressed in a very clear way: "My kingdom is not of this world". So, it already exists but it is not of this world. Instead of: "Thy Kingdom come", it is therefore logical to pray: "Thy Kingdom come within us". If we are unable to see that eternal Kingdom, then we must be looking in the wrong direction. He who has ears, let him hear.
Q. I fell from Grace and got lost due to my philosophy of "If you can't beat them, join them". My soul is enhungered for quality, true Spiritual people who above all, not in a sloppy sense, have LOVE.
A. Love, being the very Breath of God, is never sentimental, for the Holy Spirit regards not personalities. Why compare our spiritual ideas with those of the ignorant when we have the testimonies of the great exemplars like Buddha, Jesus, etc. to quote from? Let us look up always; never downward or backwards. If we do, we will lose our clarity and so fall down further.
Q. The love of doing something for someone else for no other reason than it makes them happy and so you become happy, too. The joy of helping a fellow traveller who is in dire need. The ability to look back at some very serious wreckage and know and trust that it can all be sorted out in the I AM of Eternity.
A. I sense that the above statement has not been integrated within you as a living Faith. If it had, then you would only be seeking to help others instead of making such statements which seek to support your belief system and provide your own present and future 'security'.
You will have to balance your overactive mind with your heart. To do that, you will need to release that anger, sorrow and frustration which you have been holding onto for incarnations. The latter is not a mental excercise. Indeed, you are seeking to escape from your own inner pain by fleeing into mental absolutes; a very common fear-syndrome for males. Let it go now by offering it up earnestly to Christ.
Should you deem that my above expression is presumptuous, please know that there are ways of seeing through a person's words and into his heart. All the answers are in your heart; look there first, and use reason only to verify what you discover in your heart. It is common for the head to doubt the heart, especially in men, and so they often subsequently enter a kind of grasping mind-loop of intellectual justification, often supported by a mental understanding of spiritual things. The result.... wasted energy and a giant headache!
If we have truly understood the nature of this world and the requirements of the True Path, then all we need do is WALK ON.
Q. I know
within myself that I have so much to eradicate and let go of before
I am in total harmony with the Christ-Consciousness - I and my Father
are ONE. So when I pass from this dimension at my time I am not
entirely clear how close to Home I am going to be.
A. When a person repeatedly speaks of the 'I', it is certain that he is still lost in the wilderness, far from the fold.
Instead of affirming your self, why not seek to find your Shepherd?
Q. If you have the ability, which I sense you might, just look at my last simultaneous incarnation. The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, in their illumination, never denied duality, simply showed that it, duality, was an illusion.
A. We are not at all interested in personalities, past/future or phenomena, since time and space and everything therein are of the nature of phantasmagoria compared to the Truth that is eternal and changes not.
When we look to the Truth and realize It, all
becomes very simple, and all temporal names and forms are seen for what
they are - dangerous illusions (at least to the ignorant). It
is at this time that we realize the utter futility of all phenomenal
'knowledge'. Everything that you 'know' is, at best, but a signpost
pointing to the Real. Yet if we do not follow the signs and
leave the signposts alone, we shall never arrive Home.
I entered into
unknowing,
Yet when I saw myself there,
Without knowing where I was,
I understood great things;
I will not say what I felt,
For I remained in unknowing,
Transcending all knowledge.
St. John of the Cross
Now, I know that you know much of the above
intellectually, but would that you realize it very soon if and as you
are able.
Q. I have just read the part in Servers of the Divine Plan about the opposing forces. I have had my fair share of run-ins with them! I like the chapter and feel that I needed to hear it to bear in mind the importance of what is taking place on the Earth in all the hidden and unhidden places. Without conscious knowledge of these things I feel it is easy to fall asleep and think, 'Oh well, never mind, let it be.'
A. Yes, what you say is true. Many people unwittingly assist the opposing forces by refusing to address what is in their fear and ignorance. They aver that to focus upon evil is to magnify it. However, that is not true and demonstrates a lack of fundamental understanding. It is always the motive behind focusing upon a thing that creates more illusion, more pain or alleviates the suffering and evil of the world. Therefore to focus away from evil and onto 'good' in order to escape one's inevitable confrontation with darkness, is to actually feed evil!
In order to deal with the pervasive darkness in this world, the light of discernment and wisdom must be shone there. Our own shadow does not grow any smaller by ignoring it, just as our karma does not simply dissolve should we choose to deny its existence.
In failing to address what is, the Law of Cause and Effect will simply intensify the darkness in order to coerce one to see and deal with it. This necessary pattern of rising darkness and karma is, of course, being demonstrated on Earth today, despite the 'ostrich psychology' that is so very prevalent amongst habit-worn humanity. And no matter how many world-meditations for peace etc. are practiced in order to 'avert the cataclysms' or to 'save the world', etc., karma must still be processed, mankind's sickness must rise up for expulsion and healing. In fact, such meditations performed by unenlightened human beings all over the world are actually compounding the problem, for if the pendulum swings to the 'positive' or 'good' side, in a dualistic universe, that pendulum must also swing back to the 'negative' or 'evil' side with equal force.
Therefore, the very many well-intentioned but
spiritually ignorant groups in the world today who are practicing
visualizations etc. to help this world are actually making things
worse; they are expediting the process of world calamity as they
unknowingly magnify the polarities of good and evil. Therefore, most of
the new age people with all their noble intentions (often motivated,
nonetheless, by unconscious fear) are actually working for the forces
of crystallization, as their own karma is exacerbated. This is why we
felt to speak of the opposing forces in Servers of the Divine Plan,
even if minimally, for all serious seekers of Truth who go the Path
will require a comprehensive understanding of evil in order to better
overcome its challenges as they approach the mountain top.
Q. When we understand the treacherous nature of duality it becomes abundantly clear that whatever livelihood one embarks upon will, by the very nature of dualistic existence and the need for it, be counter to fundamental reversal in Christ.
A. Yes, this is
true. This world in which man necessarily struggles to even begin to remember true Life is
intelligently designed by the opposing forces to induce and maintain
spiritual sleep. Such intelligent evil may be observed even in physical
society where "the struggle for survival" is actually nothing more than
a complex system of wage and energy-slavery designed to keep the masses
in servitude to the relatively few extremely wealthy and powerful.
The True Livelihood in the fallen realms is the process of Transfiguration which, of course, leads us back to Real Life.
Q. Then what is an acceptable way to feed our children until such time as we no longer need such materialistic machinations?
A. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all lesser things shall be added unto ye." - Jesus.
In other words, put the sole Purpose of your incarnation first and foremost and leave the details to God.
Q. Even the Buddha spoke of right livelihood.
A. He also taught his disciples to beg for alms while they concerned themselves primarily with getting off the wheel of birth and death. This latter should be our prime concern.
Q. But there are mundane-reality needs to be met. The bills need to be paid.
A. The servant of Christ always receives what he needs, both for his own personal sustenance and for the service he does.
Remember that the financial aeon is today becoming very, very hungry! Every time we think about money and security issues with a qualm, we feed the aeons and so bind ourselves more tightly to the wheel of duality.
Q. What is right response to the Call?
A. First, consider the following excerpt from the writings of Djwhal Khul (DK), the Tibetan Master:
"The initiate knows, because he works." The entire story of evolution is covered in these few words. The Christ put it in other words when He said: "If any man shall do His will, he shall know"; under the occult law, doing ever precedes knowledge because knowledge is gained through experiment and experience. The disciple or aspirant works always in the dark, particularly in the early stages of his unfoldment, following a deep and hidden instinct towards right activity. By that hard and persistent performance of duty, under the pressure of conscience at first, then under the impulse of his awakening soul and under the influences of the Master, he moves forward from darkness to light; he discovers that obedience to his spiritual instincts leads him inevitably into the realm of knowledge, and that knowledge - when acquired - is transformed eventually into wisdom. He then becomes a Master and walks no longer in the dark.
Knowledge, when given, must be used; it must be made of practical application in the daily life. Upon all of you who read these words, as they come fresh from my heart, my mind and lips, rests a duty of doing three things, which I give to you in the order of their importance:
i) The moulding of your daily lives upon the basis of the imparted truth - if it is to you indeed a truth. It is perhaps to you simply interesting, a fascinating side line of study; perhaps it is something which it pleases you to get because of its novelty, and because it is a little different from the general run of teaching; perhaps it pleases you to get these instructions a little ahead of the rest of humanity. All these reactions are of small importance, being those of the personality. They are perhaps the most probable reactions for the majority. If there is nothing deeper in your reaction than those I have mentioned, then these teachings are not for you, for the responsibility upon your shoulders is thereby very great; but if you are attempting, no matter in how small a way, to apply the truth as you see it to your own life, then they are for you.
ii) The building of that structure of thought which will embody this newer teaching. You can - if you desire - help construct the thought-form of the New Age teaching. You do this, above all, by your thought; by your practical application of any truth, which you may have understood, to your personal life at any cost; by your sacrifice and your service to your fellow men, and by the constant dissemination of any knowledge which you may possess.
<>iii) Distribution of the teaching over a long period of time. Have you done anything along this line, thus shouldering your responsibility?
Now let me briefly explain to you what happens when a soul receives the Call.
To begin with, the divine Spark in the heart begins to glow in an exhilarated response to the Christ-radiation. This stage is often a time of joy and perhaps even revelation, where future (potential) glory is glimpsed. If the Call has been received from the external world (as it would be if a person received the spirit of our writings or if they opened personally to a messenger of the New Spirit), then the group-soul and the Christine-Hierarchy would continue to work on and with them from the inner side of life also.
Such an outer and inner work brings up much karma and so often also resistance in the personality, which is in need of resolution before the divine Spark can receive the next trumpet blast. It is at this first stage that most people on Earth fail. They usually fall back to sleep because they do not have the spiritual stamina (thirst, selfless disposition, love of Truth, etc.) to maintain their vital, spiritual connection while in this very dense and polluted world. They may experience the very common pattern of devotional elation in the beginning, yet only to swing back into darkness again. If they do not come forward and invoke another trumpet blast, then we can assume the worst, and the Law of Free Will dictates that we must not impose upon their decision at all, even with the purest of motives.
So right response to the Call is demonstrated by tenacity in the form of a selfless dedication to become an empty vehicle for the Christ-Spirit by seeking further in order to assist the fallen soul of the world.
The Gnostic keys are so powerful that one who is ready (as in "when the student is ready, the master appears") and who is therefore willing to adjust appropriately his thinking and inner attitude with the requirements of the Way, will enter the process of Remembrance, thus attracting more grace and assistance from the inner side of life while responding more and more to the magnetic pull of the divine Radiation-Field of Christ.
So you can understand why a candidate for transfiguration (and so also the Final Liberation) must love the Truth with all his being and be prepared to accept and resolve anything and everything of the ego (the tainted microcosm) that rises to the surface. Without such a dedicated and uncompromising attitude (which would exemplify true Intelligence), a man's 'spirituality' will remain compromised and so an imitation at best, and may lead to black magic at worst. There is a great deal of black magic being practiced today - both consciously and unconsciously - under the guise of spirituality. Whenever natural and metaphysical forces are used by and for the lower self - the ego - black magic is practiced. The new energy currents now entering our world and human consciousness are so stimulating that we are presented with a great danger as well as a grand opportunity, and only the pure in heart will be able to receive the Grace of an age and so enter the divine Kingdom.
Once the Call has been received, there is little more for the ego-self to do but surrender, listen and obey the spiritual guidance of the indwelling Spirit. An analogy could be given here of a white water kayaker, slowly entering at first a stretch of river where the waters accelerate. He still has some control over his kayak and can still decide to head for the river bank and go no further. However, if he enters the white waters, only his instincts can keep him afloat; there is no turning back. He has to surrender in complete trust to his innate abilities and hence flow down the raging currents, exhilarated by the intensity and thrill of the experience, never letting the slightest disempowering fear overwhelm him, not even fighting to repress that fear, but joyfully savoring every instant of living grace he is experiencing from within as he keeps his eye on his destination, on his Goal.
Q.Thus far, in reading these materials, I have found nothing that jangles a hot button.
A. Something for you to consider: in the past, individuals who have been on the look out for "hot buttons" (i.e., cautious in their approach) often, in their wariness, have missed the liberating principles of the Gnosis as they diffused their focus by suspicion, doubt or mistrust, however subtle that reservation may have been. I wonder if you can appreciate that a person who is 'wary' in their search for Truth - even though they may have been burned or singed by charlatans in the past (as many undoubtedly have been) - is probably harboring some level of doubt or fear, and in applying these traits upon the Path they demonstrate a lack of unconditional Faith and intuitive, uncompromising seeking in their quest. These latter qualities are vital to success along the Lighted Way of spiritual seeking, for without them a pilgrim may easily become distracted from the straight and narrow Path, plus he will be opening himself to all kinds of undivine influences that may impede his progress, for like attracts like.
As an example: the more attention that I give to that which is not (e.g., the "hot buttons"), then the less energy I have to continue my search for that which is (True). It is our experience that in order to find the diamond in the rough of Earthly distortions, a laser-like one-pointedness upon the Goal is indispensable. Should we hone our focus thus, then the multifarious diversions and false gems strewn along the Path will present little problem for us because our aim will be straight and true.
Many aspirants approach the path of seeking with a negative attitude; i.e., they seek to find the flaws, inconsistencies and errors in a teaching rather than simply questing for the Truth itself. Thus so, how can they ever find It? Buddha said: "He who seeks the Truth with diligence and detachment will find it and it will enlighten him". He did not say: "Ensure upon the path that you extract all that is not of Truth and dissect it thoroughly!"
In our experience, most people within the spiritual supermarket today who have approached us seem to prefer to seek out the 'imperfections' of our words and ideas rather than rejoice with us at the underlying and liberating Truth that we have recognized and written about. We have observed that such a negative appraoch does little to bring them closer to the summit of life, and may lead aspirants toward a state of intellectual cynicism and separation.
Q. What is the best way to deal with people who are in fear? Is it wise to share their communications with others?
A. The Spirit is always spontaneous. There is never a right way or a wrong way that can be planned by the mind. The Spirit knows nothing of ethics (which is a man-made idea born of ignorance of universal law). The divine Spirit knows only the joyful liberation of complete naturalness. Go with the flow, therefore, and remember that wherever there is pure motive and love behind an action, then the end result will always be a good one. Ever do as you feel best. One moment at a time. Think not for the future, for all intelligence, opportunity, power, grace and glory are here and now in the present.
