TAKING THE LEAD/BECOMING A TEACHER Q. I feel that with the Gnosis now integrated in my understanding, I am able to make an informed choice to be of service to all sentient life, and so lead them from darkness to Light. A. This is good, but do not get caught up with this idea of leading others. Q. Is it not by example that others can be led? By leading it was not intended to state that one would get on a podium or pulpit and declare this is the way, but that one by raising his vibration and joining with others of like design and purpose, could light the Way on this dark planet. A. Yes, this is so. However, where there is any self-identification there is very real spiritual danger and delay. You, as a personality, can lead no one anywhere except into opinion confusion and darkness. The Buddha said: "If you wish to be a teacher of men, then go forth with an empty, tranquil and desireless mind". In other words the Buddha was saying that only Divinity can truly Teach or Serve and therofore lead, and in order to allow this, one's I must be completely removed from the relationship with others. Q. Many years ago, I started seeking a teacher; someone who could show me how to perceive and work with divine energy. I did get answers to my seeking, I just didn't like them. It kept coming back to me that I had to figure it out myself... A. Our most helpful teacher may be a Christ, a Buddha, a shooting star or simply a leaf falling from a tree in Autumn. All human teachers are but signposts at best, while the real Teacher is our own divine Soul: the Christ within. Q. ...Consequently, even in those practices I have learned I have never really had a teacher, as in one who instructs, but rather I have had to figure it out myself. This is why I am very confident in what I know about occult practices and also why I am very careful about certain practices that are new to me. A. Once we establish divine-contact via the attainment of Knowledge and in selfless consecration to the Cause of the Divine Plan of Redemption, caution is superceded by insight. Being careful indicates fear and ignorance plus a dependence on the intellect. Q. I feel that with my present knowledge I may now go out into the world as a teacher. A. You will know when you are ready to teach, for your heart will be so intoxicated with the transmuting power of spiritual Joy that you will not be able to contain it and the Spirit itself will drive you to serve others. However, without true group-unity, no Power may enter this world to defeat the forces of darkness that are presently working through the unholy consciousness of the vast majority of human beings. Individuals do not have a chance unless they unconditionally consecrate their whole being to serve the divine Will. It is not enough just to be interested, excited and self-motivated to teach. The 'I' cannot Serve; it is the divine Spirit that serves when the self gets out of the way. TEACHING FOR SELF VS TRUE TEACHING A. In response to an applicant for the Inner Teachings: Before further considering your application, may we ask you
if you recognize how the approach of teachers such as D are very personal?
How they offer or hint at personal rewards for the ego-self,
hence their popularity in this world of personal and
self-seeking? Are you aware also that the Truth (and therefore Liberation from delusion) may not be found if one's search is made personally, i.e., to benefit the personality-self or to get or gain for that self, not even to gain Freedom for that self (which is actually a scientific impossibility)? Are you aware that in order to know Liberation, the self must completely lose everything? That it must not seek to gain anything for itself whatsoever or to improve itself, but instead go forth in humble openness and selfless service to the ailing soul of humanity (and not to the personality)? And are you aware that very few people in this world are prepared to pay the price, the cost of losing everything - friends, family, possessions, name, fame, etc. - in order to gain the One Thing Needful, the One Goal? Are you aware also that due to such unwillingness to go the Path of Loneliness, many compromised spiritual seekers instead invoke the appearance of false teachers and teachings into this world (like attracts like) in order to appease (always temporarily) their personal desires for happiness, health, empowerment, spiritual or psychic satisfaction, etc., etc.? And that such ephemeral attainments made for the self ever lead to ultimate frustration and pain, as they simultaneously nail the deluded seeker more firmly to the wheel of birth, suffering and death? Perhaps you are also aware that the Truth has ever been just
as simple as it is liberating. And do you recognize the fact that
elaborate, intricate or detailed presentations of the Way to Life
(especially when focussed upon self-attainment) as given out by so many
misguided teachers today, such as D, are created by the intellect,
often with the noblest of intentions, yet actually serve only to
overload and to confuse the simple Truth, together with the minds of
students by introducing so many completely unnecessary intellectual
convolutions? Compare the simple, enlightened writings of the saints
and sages. We ask these questions for very good reasons, for you will find the revelations contained in our inner teachings, which are the resurrected Teachings of the Avatars, to be diametrically opposite to those of popular teachers such as D, and so many others who are well-known in the world today, inasmuch as the Teachings of the Avatars have ever pointed to the One Thing Needful for Liberation, which is actually ego-death. That is to say the annihilation (through selfless surrender to Divinity, informed sacrifice of self and Gnostic service) of the separate 'I'. This has been repeatedly indicated by all truly illumined teachers throughout history (including and especially the Avatars themselves), and no amount of self-focus or self-improvement exercises will advance the earnest and intelligent aspirant along the Path of the Divine Mysteries, for what we focus upon grows. We find ourselves wondering if you are aware that the very fact that teachers are popular in this world of fear, selfishness and sham spirituality, necessarily indicates that they are offering techniques, teachings or something of interest to the separate self, however camouflaged with words of love, service and selflessness - i.e., sophistry - such teachings may be. Such teachers and teachings may only be discerned by the humble enquirer and so by the pure, simple heart. Such teachers may only be recognized by vibration, for their impressive mind knows all about the Truth, yet while demonstrating to those with eyes to see that they do not have access to the divine Universe in which the Truth Lives. It is our observation, born of extensive, full-time experience across four continents over the past 16 years, that if a teaching or teacher is popular in this world, then he or she will not be serving Divinity; he or she will not be radiating true divine Light (which is necessarily destructive, at least in the initial stages, and so upsets the dualistic ego, which then most often attacks), but instead will almost certainly, in nearly all cases, be emanating false light, cold light or luciferic light. Please compare the historical persecution of the Avatars (e.g., the poisoning of Buddha and the crucifixion of Jesus) and also of any genuine holy order, such as the Cathars, the Classical Rosicrucians, the Manicheans, the Bogomils, the Albigenses, etc., etc. Despite what you say about the need for 'destruction', we wonder if you have considered deeply the fact that any threat of annihilation to the selfish self will almost always meet with resistance, aggression and ultimately outright confrontation with the forces of darkness that rule this world from unseen quarters, via the deluded ego-self of the masses? "Men love not the Light, for it reveals their wickedness; men love the dark." - Jesus. Therefore, and bearing in mind that the divine energy of Truth will ever be perceived as an enemy by ignorance and fear (in which, of course, the general public is steeped), we would ask you to clarify your understanding of the foregoing ideas and therefore your motives for affiliation with a popular teacher such as D, who any psychometrist may discern from both his writings and photographs, does not emanate divine Realization, but who is, in fact, yet another of the perhaps well-intentioned but blinded "false prophets and false Christs" who have been long-prophesied to rise in power in these times of the end of a major world-cycle in order to lead astray the naïve. I hasten to add that the majority of such teachers have no idea whom they serve and why. At this late stage of the preparatory period leading up to the planetary deadline and the Harvest Time, we prefer to be forthright and honest from the start with all applicants for the inner teachings, and not to walk on eggshells in order to appeal to the half-hearted. Our above words are not delivered as an attack on yourself, your beliefs or to create division between us. We hope, therefore, that you might receive them in the same spirit in which they are offered and so regard them in their true light, in their true nature, which is actually one of opportunity. |
